happy halloween! not really a fan, but it makes the small child happy, so i deal. and as she has a rather nasty nut allergy, it means i get to steal a lot of her candy...
there has been finishing and there has been starting. the rustic shawl is finished and blocked and ready for me to decide if i keep it or gift it and i am having a really hard time with that decision. i may need advice from an impartial source.
and i have still not found the buttons for the chuinky jungle monkey. but i have washed and blocked and i have lost enough weight that it is going to fall off my shoulders as is. tragedy. i am now debating a fix -- pick up and knit a few more rows around the neckline? move the buttons over so that it overlaps more? wash it hot and hope i can shrink it just right? questions questions questions. pretty sure i am not going to frog it, though. still can't get a good picture of it.
and this is the new, using up some more old stash that would otherwise sit there for an eternity. lion brand homestyle that is halfway through becoming a baby blanket for my sister-in-law, who had a bouncing baby boy this week. i love the giant bobbles and expect the baby will as well; babies like to grab and shake things.
i have some more things in the planning/gathering stages as well: some wrist warmers as gifts, a new pair of socks, and a sweater for the small child, in yarn she chose herself.
