green.girl knitting: commentary

i shall be very happy to see easter.

it has been difficult to not knit, especially since there was a business conference in chicago and knitting is always in play at those things. i find it easier to pay attention in the cramped, overly chilled rooms of hotel conference centers if my hands are occupied. i briefly thought of cheating with a little crochet, and even fantasized about some hand-sewing, but in the end, i merely sat and forced myself to stay awake and engaged.

sadly, engaged does not really describe me at the house of late. i had been hoping with less knitting i would spend more time cleaning and purging and organizing. but, as is wont with the world, the extra time has been filled with more work projects that have to be completed ASAP or quicker, please! i have managed to clear a spot in the living room that was out of control, and have taken three bags to goodwill, but it is a drop in the bucket.

ah, well, it gives me something to strive for.
