3 february 2013 frustration
i thought i had it down.
i thought the increases and decrease were set and would lie flat and i was good to go. i was wrong.
i was at my parent's, doing some laundry, so i took the opportunity to spread the whole thing out without risk of cat or catastrophe. it's a pretty bad picture [iphone], but you can see the whole thing. and see that it somehow manages not to clash with the oriental rug in their living room.
including the border, which is now curling/cupping/behaving like a rotten beast of a border. so, back to the drawing board. i think i will try keeping the same rate of decrease and increase and go up a hook size first. if that doesn't work, i'll be dwelling on it a little longer. i just wish i didn't have to get two feet of edging done before the badness decides to show its true colors. just crocheting a few hills and valleys can be deceptive...
i've rather stalled on the knitting as well. time to take things firmly in hand.
