still not feeling the love.
but i am feeling the pressure, so i am attempting to force the knitting through this odd period of my life where i don't really have the desire to create. it's not just knitting, either. don't feel like baking, or sewing, or crocheting or weaving or gluing. barely feel like reading. and yet, i am pretty damn happy. who knows what is up with the craziness of my moods? certainly not i.
i had to wait at the small child's school the other day, to pick her up after a post-school activity of some sort, so i took the opportunity of being trapped in the car to work on my aunt's shawl. i decided to do the feather and fan part in stockinette, mostly because i like the way the texture changes, and i like a flatter lace part. it will also block out longer which is good, as she is tall and narrow.
and having not knit in the bright sunlight before, on this particular piece, i hadn't really noticed just how much dye was coming off the yarn and onto the needles and my fingers.
i think they shall be almost black before i am finished.
