green.girl knitting: commentary

baby blanket number one is done. mostly.
i want to give it a quick soak and block, to square it up and even out the stitches a bit, but all the knitting is done and the ends woven in, waiting to be trimmed. and it took less than nine months! much easier than making an actual baby...
i completely forgot about the row gauge difference between stockinette and garter, so the edge ruffles a bit in its unblocked state, but it is kind of charming in its waviness. that's my story and i am sticking to it.
now, onto baby blanket number two. the mother-to-be is ready for the baby to be here now, even though he is not due until end of february, so i'd best get a move on...
